Manufactured Landscapes

I am not sure how I missed this short film.

Just one of my interest in consumption and how it plays out on our planet.

Having lived in one of our country's "Creative Cities" and seen first hand as a child where this stuff landed locally.

Passing by the dumps and recycling centers trying to peer over the fences through my car windows when chance came my way to spy the industrious machines moving steel and and throw aways from life and the day to day......

A park in my neighborhood I played in shared its land with no fencing or boundaries separating play areas and the dumping of stuff.

I found myself called to the area. I could see wheels of a baby carriage sticking up a toaster ,a cord, crushed glass and fabrics of unknown origin.

 Upon my returns freshly deposited land was shifted in the night to cover It took some time for me to grasp the fact that these items were buried.... walking through this land I saw puddles of liquids pretty colors like rainbows.....

I was forever impressed by those days..It felt wrong somehow.

I noticed the abundance of things discarded with no care for where they go..As I grew I became more aware of the deceptions of waste.....

Buying to Buy to Have.......

I know I have been shaped in some ways by those days I spent time creating from otherwise soon to be thrown away items .sewing,binding,building, thinking about and loving those items.. 

I seen beauty and usefulness from the discarded items.

I feel the same with people and all life.

I have arrived! Wait how do I do make neighbors?

I am so not up on blogging. I dont talk/write much really o.k. unless I'Ming which I have not done in so long..Makes for a bad blogger I imagine.

I like to do photo blogging or do my mouse and paint program blogging.

I write here Hummm.
